Some people look at a portfolio and pricing, say yes, and book their session. For others, they might want a little more information and that's okay! This page has oodles. At the top of the page here you'll find some generalized information for all session types and then you can click the buttons below to find specialized information for each category. If you still have question, please reach out. I'm always happy to chat.
Maternity photography is a celebration of life’s journey into parenthood with a fun choose-your-own-adventure photographic experience. While the entire process is simply one beautiful conversation, we get to build the perfect session for you by selecting the vibe, the location, the outfits, and who you want to be included with you. These sessions can be done anytime throughout the pregnancy but most commonly between 30-34 weeks gestation and sometimes earlier if this is not the first pregnancy. Let's design a session where you are the muse and the artwork is fine enough to decorate your home.
One of the great adventures. What a privilege it is for me to be able to document it for you. Birth is such a sacred and magical moment and while the first thing people tend to think of is the actual emergence of the child, there is just so, so much more to the story. There's the preamble - the slow laboring at home, the doting husband, the concerned dog. Then the build up at your birthing site - the more intense contractions, the staff tending to you, the partner sitting quietly out of the way, the doula offering compressions. The climax - the staff preparing the warmer for it's soon to arrive occupant, the support fetching water and cool wash cloth, the introspective birthing person and their fierce pushes, then finally, the long awaited arrival of someone who's going to become one of your favorite people. Then the decrescendo - the first cries, the skin to skin, the sighs of relief, the room emptying, the quiet coming back. It's such a powerful experience, even for me as a bystander, but it's so worth capturing.
Fresh 48 sessions are a way to document those very firsts. Babies can change so much in the first few days, even hours after birth. So capturing those moments is so important. I find clients also like to use this opportunity to record the first time the siblings meet or when family first meets that baby. It's such a joyous moment. These sessions are very simple but we can always add a few things to make them personal as well.
They're only little once. As someone who only has one child, not entirely by choice, it's so hard to watch them grow up and not stay small forever. I find that while a little painful, looking back at my son's photos, also brings me great joy and pride. I made that. I did all that. And now that he's a little older, he too can look at the photos and see all the amazing milestones he's reached and adventures he's had. Newborn photos are not just for you. They're also for them.
All milestones, regardless of age or significance, should be celebrated. Making the little wins something worthwhile and big win extraordinary. When babies a little we document milestone such as sitting up all on their own, walking, saying their first words. Why can't anyone who's older than the age of 2 find small things in their life to be excited for? You grew a garden? That's awesome! You crocheted a blanket? Incredible! You got out of bed and want to remind yourself you didn't let the hard days win? Speechless. Of course all the big stuff in there too: graduation, new car, divorced, another trip around the sun. There's so much that goes on in the every day it's hard to look at the big picture. Can you think of one thing you accomplished this year? Even if it's survived? Because I know that's tough too. Let's chat and create a session that shows off the adventure you've had.
What an incredible journey it's been to get yourself here. A life and family that you built. Let's celebrate that! All family types are welcomed including the nuclear family, blended, poly, and more. Now, I have documented many, many traditional family sessions, I would love to see what adventures we could get into. Could we go somewhere that's special to your family? Could we do an activity that you all enjoy doing together? Could we build a session that speaks volumes about your love and the life you've created? Let's chat and see what magic we find.
What a milestone to reach when you find someone you vibe with on a such a fun and personal level. Let's celebrate that togetherness in a way that shows off that one of a kind relationship. Is there something the two of you love doing together? Cozy reading in the library? Adventures outside? Cooking together in the kitchen? Whatever it is that brings you two close is how I want to photograph you. I also document small weddings and elopements and would love to be the one to tell your story.
A way to document the way you feel on the inside, on the outside. A version of yourself you're proud of. A way of healing, conquering, thriving. You are divine and I want you to see that. Whatever your identity, come and lets build a session that you can be truly yourself. Whether that be through feminine energy, masculine energy, the combined energy of a partner, or even the essence of a therion or furry. Please, let's get creative and weird. I'm so here for it.
Companion sessions are a way to honor and celebrate our non-human friends. This kind of photographic experience can be truly unique as you get to choose your own adventure. Tell me about your companion; what they like, their personality, how you wish to immortalize them. I'm already so excited to hear your ideas and create the most amazing session with your best friend.
We live in a digital world where we store, share, and view our images by a device. It is truly amazing that our technology has come so far. Unfortunately, with time, those images get pushed aside, lost, and forgotten. Printing your images allows those images to remain in the forefront. You get to be reminded of your love, connections, achievements, and so much more every time you glance them. Whether you hang the artwork on your walls or collect albums, these items are shared with anyone who enters those spaces or passed down through generations. Our memories deserve to live on.
Now it's time to open the conversation and start the process of building your dream session together. Reach out and let's book your session today!
